Hotel Bharatpur Ashok is the hotel to go for if what you are interested is an in-house experience of the Keoladeo National Park. Once hailed for the visiting Siberian cranes (which scientists say are now possibly extinct), the park still hosts several endangered species of birds. Visitors throng  Bharatpur during the winter months ( November- March) to get a glimpse of the birds from the Arctic.
Agra airport is 53 km away but an 8 kilometre ride gets you to the Bharatpur Railway Station.

Recreation: As obvious from its location, the hotel mainly caters to the interests of the bird watchers. It has row-boats for the lake inside the Park and also rickshaws for  park tours.
