Kishan Singh Rathore built Kishangarh in 1611, which is now days famous as the marble city of India in 1611. Kishangarh has had one of India's most famous styles of miniature painting. Under Satwant Singh's patronage, the school reached its zenith. A person of arts himself, he promoted painting in Kishangarh. It is believed that Savant Singh modeled as Lord Krishna while his mistress Bani Thani as Radha. The renowned Kishangarh Radha painting is still considered to be one of the best works of Kishangarh.
Maharaja Roop Singh of Kishangarh constructed the Roopangarh Fort in 1648. The different styles of architecture can be distinctly observed in the fort.
The Royal family of Kishangarh has recently converted it into a beautiful hotel.
