Day 01: Delhi Cant- Jaipur (Wednesday)
The train departs from New Delhi Cantonment Railway Station every Wednesday at 1830 hrs. Reporting time is 1600 hrs. Spend the night on board the Palace on Wheels.
Day 02: Jaipur- Jaisalmer (Thursday; Arrival 0200 hrs, Departure 1930 hrs.)
After a lazy breakfast GeTS Holidays will arrange a city tour for you. We will visit all three forts of Jaipur namely- the Amber, the Jaigarh and the Nahargarh. Then we will visit other wonders like the Hawa Mahal- Palace of winds, the City Square & Palace, and Albert hall museum. You will love to watch city during evening. Jaipur has lots to offer you like marble inlays works, silver and kundan jewellery, block prints and bandhani textiles. Then we will return to evening by 630 pm and board you in the train. You will have an overnight journey to Jaisalmer.
Day 03 - Jaisalmer (Friday; Arrival 0815 hrs, Departure 2300 hrs)
Jaisalmer lies in the heart of the Thar Desert. It was founded by Rawal Jaisal, in 1156 A.D. After your night on the train freshen up have breakfast and proceed on a visiting the attractions of the city. You visit the fort and beautifully designed havelis. The Nathmalji-ki-haveli, Patwon-ki-haveli, and Salim Singh-ki-haveli are fine examples of the marvel of architectural skills of artisans of that time. You also go on a shopping escaped. After lunch on board, proceed for an exciting camel ride on the sand dunes to the fascinating Sam. Enjoy the dinner and cultural programs at a hotel in Jaisalmer before leaving for Jodhpur aboard Palace on Wheels at night.
Day 04 - Jodhpur (Saturday; Arrival 0700 hrs. Departure 1530 hrs)
We will reach Jodhpur by morning. Rao Jodha founded the city of Jodhpur in 1468. Mehrangarh Fort is situated upon a hillock and is major tourist attraction. You will love to watch the Fort and many beautiful palaces inside it. Local brown sandstone is used in all the structures. The city has many beautiful havelies. They are famous for their frescos and beautiful paintings. You will love to shop at local market places. In evening we will board the train and reach Sawai Madhopur by early morning.
Day 05 - Sawai Madhopur (Sunday; Arrival 0400 hrs,Departure 1030 hrs)
We will reach Sawai Madhopur before dawn and will immediately proceed for Ranthambore National Park. Since morning is the best time to watch games. We will arrange a jungle safari for you. If you will be lucky then you may have glimpses of tigers. Then will board on the train and will reach Chittorgarh famous for the magnificent fort.
Day 05 - Chittorgarh (Sunday; Arrival 1600 hrs)
You will have your lunch at the train. Then we will go for a visit of the magnificent Chittorgarh Fort. You will have night stay in a luxury Hotel At Chittorgarh.
Day 06 - Udaipur - Chittorgarh (Monday; Departure 2000 hrs)
We will reach Udaipur by morning. Rana Udai Singh founded Udaipur. The city is considered as the most romantic city in the Indian subcontinent. The city has number of lakes and now days lake Pichola became synonyms of Udaipur. You will love to watch Jag Niwas Palace, Saheliyon ki Bari and other monuments. Then we will board the train and will proceed for Bharatpur.
Day 07 - Bharatpur (Tuesday; Arrival 0630 hrs, Departure 900 hrs)
We will reach Bharatpur at morning and have breakfast in the train. Then we will visit famous Keola Deo Ghana Bird Sanctuary, Bharatpur. The sanctuary is home of thousand of species of birds. Lots of migratory birds came here during winter. The most amazing is Siberian Crane. Then we will board the train and reach Agra by evening.
Day 07 - Agra (Tuesday; Arrival 1430 hrs, Departure 2100 hrs)
After breakfast we will go for tour of the famous Agra Fort and the Taj- a monument of eternal love, Sikandra- the tomb of Akbar, the Itmad-Ud-Daullah’s tomb and Fatehpur Sikri. Agra is famous for decorative marble works and leather products. A native exotic sweet ‘petha’ is also famous. Then we will board in train and reach Delhi by morning.
